The Vegas Golden Knights have been arguably hockey’s biggest story to start the season. On Tuesday night, Kamloops Blazers goaltender Dylan Ferguson made a relief appearance in the Oilers 8-2 stomp down of the Knights.

Ferguson became the fifth goaltender to appear for Vegas this season, joing the likes of Marc-Andre Fleury, Malcolm Subban, Oscar Dansk and Maxime Legace.

The modern day record is seven set by three teams, with the 07/08 Los Angeles Kings goaltenders being the most recent  when they trotted out Jason LaBarbera, Erik Ersberg, J.S. Aubin, Dan Cloutier, Jonathan Quick, Jonathan Bernier and Daniel Taylor to their crease.

Now that Golden Knights goaltenders Malcolm Subban has returned from injury, the presumed backup of the team finally has his own coloured custom mask instead of their generic white masks.

The mask features some of the features of Las Vegas, like the Stratosphere, ferris wheel, while also including palm trees and sunsets that reflect the Vegas climate.

In three games this season Subban has been strong in a limited sample size, posting a 2-0 record with a 2.06 goals against average and a .936 save percentage. Subban is close to returning to crease after suffering a lower-body injury.
