Everyone thinks that being a mascot is all fun and games. But if you ever asked anyone who makes a living off of wearing a giant foam-based suit, they would be quick to point out the workplace hazards that no one takes into consideration. Hazards such as constantly having to tumble to the ground on purpose.
Just ask this person wearing a polar bear suit whilst filming a commercial for a car dealership alongside the Minnesota Golden Gopher. The polar bear made a great physical sacrifice for the sake of comedy, an it really paid off, as these outtakes are genuinely hilarious.
We can't tell you how many times we went back to 1:10 and watched that bear eat it, over and over. And the staying on the ground bit? Amazing. Hopefully it was just an act, though...
There's just something about the chemistry between hockey and local car dealerships that make for incredible comedy. The Penguins take on Superbad back in 2008 was classic, but for our money, Ovechkin has the crown for best auto dealership commercial.
The man was born to entertain.
