Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald announced on Wednesday night that he would be returning for a 14th NFL season next year. Set to make $11 million next season, the Cardinals’ all-time leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns has had quite the successful career, but he’s missing one thing; a Super Bowl.

Perhaps Fitzgerald made the decision after he came across Mark Wahlberg’s press conference at the Annexus Pro-Am at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Wednesday afternoon. During the interview, Wahlberg let everyone in attendance know that he plans on helping the New England Patriots recruit Fitzgerald this offseason and told them exactly how he plans on doing it.

The audience had a good laugh, but if there’s someone who could probably pull off something like this, it’s Wahlberg.

If the Patriots can somehow manage to acquire Fitzgerald then their offence would be beyond ridiculous with Tom Brady leading the way.
