The Washington Wizards have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA since the beginning of January. In 30 games since then, the Wizards have posted a 22-8 record and have won 15 of their last 19 games to move into sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference.

With the Verizon Center currently playing host to the Big Ten Tournament, the Wizards were in Denver on Wednesday night for a date with the Nuggets. The two teams went back and forth in a high scoring affair, but the Wizards came out on top with a 123-113 victory.

However, even though they came away with a victory, Markieff Morris didn’t get to enjoy his team’s big win in its entirety as he was ejected for kicking Nuggets big man Mason Plumlee.

It's pretty strange that Morris got the boot almost immediately, considering we’ve seen Draymond Green pull this off numerous times and still get to finish the game.

The extra leg movements by Morris on the way  up were a bit much, as he tried way too hard to try to get a foul called in his favour. However, we still don’t think that he intentionally kicked Plumlee on the play. If Morris was rocking a Warriors jersey he probably would have finished the game.
