It looks like Marshawn Lynch’s retirement has come to an end.

According to NFL Network’s Michael Silver, the soon-to-be 31-year-old running back is ready to make a return to the NFL under one condition, he’s a member of his hometown Oakland Raiders.

Even though he didn’t play last season, Lynch made headlines all year long with on-going rumours throughout the season that he wanted to make a comeback.

Now that his return is official, you can bet Raiders fans and football fans in general are pretty excited to see Beast Mode back in uniform.

I hope the #Raiders get #MarshawnLynch #BeastMode

While Raiders fans and Oakland residents are excited that Lynch is returning to the NFL for his hometown team, Seahawks fans are pretty upset that he won’t be returning to Seattle.

After rushing for a minimum of 1,200 yards in four of his final five seasons, it will be interesting to see what Lynch will be able to do on the football field after taking a full year off.
