NHL players will attract attention wherever they go, but Matt Duchene lives in a pretty peaceful area.
As we touched on last week, Duchene grew up in cottage country and continues to live there today, with a dream-like hockey setup out in the wilderness. Still, even if they were only going to find him by water, the fans will still show up at one time or another.
To see them, Duchene simply needs to look out his window, where people on jet skis will fully stop their activity to snap a picture or video of his crib. This video is from his Instagram story:
We sincerely hope that this guy sees the video of Duchene recording himself while he’s trying to document a memory of the Avs star’s home.
After all, he was just looking for a souvenir, and what better one could you get than a shout out directly from the players account that you were hoping to run in to. We’re sure he’s a popular fella out there on the lake, but if you really want to see Duchene in action, you’re probably best to get out on the water when the fish are biting.
Duchene is self-described diehard fisherman, so he’s sure to be out on the water dropping a line at sun up or sun down, just don’t go scaring the fish away.
