After the season he had last year, Connor McDavid definitely deserved the NHL 18 cover this season, but just in case, he made a video to convince EA Sports to pick him.
The best way to do that is to hear from the fans themselves. So that’s what Connor did, he gather a group of fans to tell EA all about how he deserves the cover of the new game. Well, he didn’t actually get a group of fans. Instead he just got a bunch of costumes and pretended to be fans in this amazing video.
By the far the best disguise is him as a hockey analytics expert quoting his Corsi as a reason to be on the cover.
Also, McDavid joins the list of elite hockey players to use fidget spinners. We saw Auston Matthews using one last month in a photo with his girlfriend and if you look closely at the end of this post, you’ll see one in McDavid’s left hand.
NHL 18 comes out later this week and not only is McDavid on the cover, but he’s tied as the highest rated player in the game.
