We got a little closer to the official announcement of the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather bout last week.
It all started when UFC president Dana White said he had come to an agreement with McGregor’s side and was now waiting on Mayweather’s side to get the deal done.
McGregor followed up this announcement by officially applying for a Nevada boxing license and sharing a picture on Instagram with the caption; “Let’s go get some boxing ones now son.”
McGregor is known for running his mouth against his opponents and didn’t stop there. On Sunday, the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion took another shot at Mayweather via his Instagram account.
The caption for the photo reads; “Solid work today. Sign your end Floyd or you are just a mouth.”
Considering the two have gone back and forth running their mouths for a year now, it’s nice to see McGregor stay true to his word about returning after his son is born and actually signing the deal to get the fight going.
Hopefully Mayweather’s side agrees on something soon because we can’t wait to watch these two go toe-to-toe in the ring.
