Mike Commodore has a ton of out-of-the-box solutions for NHL teams that are struggling, and no team in the NHL is struggling more than the Edmonton Oilers.

A team that many expected to contend for the Stanley Cup has lost in embarrassing fashion several times this season and they’re only ahead of the Arizona Coyotes in their conference. Commodore was born just outside of Edmonton, so he clearly knows a lot of people that are rattled about the team’s performance.

Well, now he’s offering a solution – at least that’s what he calls it.

Commodore is most definitely one of the biggest old-time hockey ambassadors on Twitter and there isn’t a grittier suggestion for a way to turn the tides than this one. His suggestion is to get #InOne, which is a hashtag he started to mean paint the town red or go out partying.

With the strict fitness and diet regimens that these athletes are on, it’s hard to imagine this happening. But, judging by the response from some former NHL players, this was a reality not too long ago.

Still, judging by how he’s used the suggestion in the past, we have a feeling this might be the suggestion whether the Oilers’ fortunes were up or down. He said it himself.
