There was some extra pent-up aggression inside of two of the NFL’s star receivers on Sunday.

In the Bengals and Jaguars matinee, A.J. Green lost his cool on cornerback Jalen Ramsey by slamming him onto the field and proceeded to punch him.

In a NFC South battle between Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints, Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston was forced to leave the game due to an injury in his throwing shoulder. Winston left the bench to yap at Saints rookie Marshon Lattimore, and that’s when the tensions were taken up another level.

Lattimore tried to take the high road, and proceeded to walk away, but Winston needed to get one last shot in. The Bucs quarterback poked Lattimore on the back of his helmet.

The phrase “protect your quarterback” apparently applies to everyone, as Mike Evans came out of nowhere and slammed right into the back of Lattimore, launching him into the sidelines that triggered a brief brouhaha.

That’s pretty dangerous, but it was apparently not dangerous enough to warrant an ejection for Evans, which caught the Bucs wideout by surprise based off his reaction. Evans was only given a flag resulting a 15-yard penalty.

Even though the Bucs got lucky with Evans and Winston not being tossed, they still took a big loss on the scoresheet by falling to the Saints 30-10. Tampa fell to 2-6 and sit in the basement of the NFC South.
