Senators forward Mike Hoffman had his most successful year in the NHL last season, and clearly he’s brimming with confidence in the offseason.

Hoffman is rocking a new look in the offseason and we’re definitely fans. While beards are on the up-and-up, unique facial hair is on the decline in the NHL. Zack Kassian was doing his best to bring back the lamb chops in the NHL, and it appears he may have been successful. Mike Hoffman has also joined in on the trend but added a twist of his own – a little more cheek action and a sweater lip.

We just hope Hoffman keeps this going into the NHL season. Some people consider Hoffman one of the more underrated players in the league, but this would definitely put him on the mainstream map in the NHL.

We know one thing’s for sure, we’re definitely giving him this facial hair forever in NHL.

Now that we’re getting some more ridiculous facial hair in the NHL, we need Jagr to pass the mullet torch down to some of the younger players in the league. After Patrick Kane stopped rockin’ it, the future of mullets in the NHL looks grim.
