The Hartford Yard Goats and Binghamton Rumble Ponies opened up their four-game series in Binghamton, New York, on Friday night.

After scoring four runs in the first inning, the Rumble Ponies set themselves up for a victory very early into the game. The rest of the way they put their defensive skills on display, and even pulled out some tricks to come out on top with a 5-4 victory.

With the Yard Goats pressing in the 8th inning, Rumble Ponies relief pitcher Cory Burns came up with a rather unusual, yet very big strikeout for his team to get them out of the inning with the lead.

The pitch got away from Burns as he went to release the ball and the ball ended up rolling to the catcher.

However, Colorado Rockies prospect Josh Fuentes, who happens to be Nolan Arenado’s cousin according to MLB.com, took a swing anyways just for fun and was actually given a strike and called out by the umpire due to it being a live ball.
