Talk about tough love.
Thursday at Fight Nights Global 67 in Russia, featherweight Viktor Kichigin took an absolute beating in the cage from Ruslan Yamanbaev, losing in the second-round via TKO. Sitting cageside, Kichigin's mother had front row seats to see her son getting pummeled, and just like a disapproving trainer, she was not happy with what she saw from the fighter.
As bad as that TKO was, oddly enough, the most notable beating came after the fight when Kichigin's mom entered the cage and proceeded to slap her son in disappointment.
You've got to love that even after Kichigin's mother slapped him numerous times, she still pulled a total parent move and wiped his face clean for him with a napkin. It's been a week of interesting knockdowns.
