Last week, Capitals centre Evgeny Kuznetsov bought this impressive painting of Scrooge McDuck making his paper rain.

That may’ve started a trend among NHL players, as Leafs centre Nazem Kadri bought this beautiful Mario and Luigi piece of art and posted it on his Instagram page.

The artwork has the two Nintendo icons on skates, carving their way through the Nintendo galaxy. The painting features his signature CCM gloves, and a broken stick courtesy of Mario smashing through it as if he were jumping up for a coin in Mario Run.

The artist goes by the name “The Brush Master” on Instagram, and does fantastic spray-painted artwork, including this piece of Conor McGregor.

Earlier this week, Kadri’s asked his followers to help out with the horrific conditions down in Houston by donating to his Hurricane Harvey fund.

Kadri is coming of a career high 61 points – including 31 goals – with the Leafs, and become one of Mike Babcock's most trusted forwards based on the tough defensive matchups he drew.
