After the Toronto Raptors made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history last season, and took the Cleveland Cavaliers to six games thanks in large part to DeMar DeRozan, Sports Illustrated came out and ranked the all-star 46th on their top 100 players of 2017 list. The Raptors' shooting guard was clearly unhappy with the ranking, taking to Twitter to share his displeasure and motivation.
SI has yet to update their rankings, but DeRozan can find the beginning of a shift in public opinion now that NBA 2K17 has made roster adjustments to half the league. The NBA 2K Twitter handle specifically tagged DeRozan to make sure he knew they were making an update he was involved in.
