Andre Roberson is a hardnosed defender for the Oklahoma City Thunder, receiving NBA All-Defensive Second Team honours for his 2016-17 campaign.

On Thursday, he showed off some of that defensive mentality when a bottle server tweeted out Roberson’s small tip on an almost $500 bill, calling him trash.

Sometimes people give small tips, that’s a part of the service industry that will likely never change, but this pocket-change tip comes as a particular surprise given the fact that Roberson was out to celebrate the $30 million contract he had just signed with the Thunder.

Then, not happy with the server’s public post, Roberson responds by arguing that there was not enough actual service to justify a bigger tip.

Things would just get more embarrassing for the Thunder’s 2016-17 starting small forward as the picture shows that Roberson actually did his math wrong on both the dollar and the cent, resulting in a $501.10 total rather than the $500 he intended. Even with the bonus money, the tip still slides in under 3%.

Just as it seemed like the embarrassing situation was starting to subside, Roberson’s teammates got in on the action and reignited the roasting.

Needless to say, Roberson may be a little more generous next time.
