Nico Hischier was chosen first overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, after starting outside the top 10 on many lists. A massive World Juniors propelled the young star to the top of the board for the Devils, and after being picked first overall, he will now have a bigger microscope on him throughout his career.

The New Jersey Devils’ development camp opened on Monday, and Hischier suited up with the team for the very first time.

 The Devils are clearly pretty excited to have Hischier as part of the organization, and the young player feels the same way about the team.
