Over the past couple of years, hockey fights cancer has become a big movement in the NHL and players are finding new and creative ways to show their support for the movement.

Nikolaj Ehlers has been a big supporter and this year he went above and beyond. The Winnipeg Jets were wearing their Hockey Fight Cancer jersey during warmups for last night’s game against the Minnesota Wild, and Ehlers decided to get his done for the occasion.

Ehlers shaved the fights cancer ribbon into his hair with a couple of hockey sticks on the other side.

Hockey Fights Cancer 🏒💪 What a Night 🙏 Thanks to @famos for this sick haircut👍 #hockeyfightscancer

As many people do, Ehlers has a special connection to the fight against cancer. His grandfather (Bedstefar in Danish) is the person that he is fighting for throughout his career.

It’s always awesome to players support these causes and it sets a good example to see them go above and beyond.

We have no doubt that some young Jets fans will be shaving their hair to a match.
