Nico Hischier won over the hearts of a lot of fans moments after the New Jersey Devils selected him first overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and it was all thanks to one of his comments during one of his interviews.
The moment hockey fans heard Hischier say “I love to hockey” during his interviews, he became an instant fan favourite.
On Wednesday, the Devils unveiled a new shirt that they’re now selling at the team store during development camp and they’re an awesome tribute to Hischier and his quote from draft night.
Of course, only fans who heard the interview will understand this T-shirt when they first see it, but we’re sure that Devils fans will pick up on it sooner rather than later.
