Hockey players and athletes of all kinds need to do everything they can to stay in shape nowadays, and sometimes that means trying something a little unorthodox.

Yoga has increased in popularity in all parts of the world, but we have yet to see this strain of it: Goat Yoga. You may read Goat Yoga and have no idea what that is, but it’s exactly what it sounds like. There are two basic steps:

  1. Do Yoga
  2. Be Surrounded by Goats

If you’re still not sure what we’re talking about, Eric Gryba made sure to document his first time trying it out (Click on the right of the picture to scroll through the photos).

So goat yoga is cooler than it sounds! Tag a friend that would love this!!!!! 🐐🐐🐐

Of course, Gryba is a beast and you don’t get that big through just Goat Yoga. He’s been making sure to get into the gym in many different ways this offseason – which Oilers fans will be happy to hear after he signed another two-year contract with the Oilers.

With approximately 8 NHL-quality defenceman under contract, it remains to be seen where he’ll slot into the lineup, but when he does, he’ll definitely be contributing physically.

It's all about them gains!
