Erik Karlsson missed some games at the beginning of the 2017-18 season, but since returning to the lineup, he's picked up right where he left off in the Eastern Conference Final a season ago.

The Senators captain has 9 points in 6 games (all assists) and three multi-point games already this season.

Karlsson's contributions are a big reason why the Sens are currently in second place in the Atlantic Division, and at this point fans are just expecting multi-point games from the 27-year-old.

After his two-point game on Thursday, Karlsson moved into first place on this list of defenceman with multi-point games since the 2002-03 season.

Insanity.  Karlsson is in first in multi-point games by a defenceman since the 2002-03 season despite entering the league in 2009.

The guy is incredible and it's no wonder nobody wants the assignment of covering him during games.

The #Kings debating who will cover #ErikKarlsson in overtime is everything 😂😂
