January has not been a good month for teams releasing new logos. Last week the freshly unveiled Los Angeles Chargers released their new logo to a chorus of memes and digital boos, as nearly everyone criticized the redesign, including numerous professional sports teams.

Monday, Italian soccer giants Juventus shared their brand new, modernly styled club emblem and it looks like fans of the Serie A champions will have to batten down the hatches and prepare themselves for a meme storm.

As soon as the image was shared, the jokes came rolling in on Twitter.

You would like to say that as long as the club is winning that no Juventus fan will really care about the redesign, but a badge is a pretty integral part of a fan's relationship with a team. We'll have to wait and see if Juventus back down from their new design, much like how the Chargers did, but that seems rather unlikely.
