If there's one series that has been surprising to hockey fans so far this postseason in regards to who's winning, it's the Nashville and Chicago series.

The Blackhawks finished in first in the Western Conference, setting up a date with the Predators in the first round of the playoffs.

During the regular season, the Hawks won four of five meetings against the Preds, scoring a combined 20 goals in the season series.

Through the first two playoff games, however, Chicago hasn't scored a goal and they're down 2-0 going back to Nashville.

The #Predators crush the #Blackhawks 5-0 to take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

Game 2 wasn't even close, and if the favourites want to win the series, putting pucks in the net is the way to do it.

Oftentimes stats can help tell a story, and if we were to sum up this series thus far with one stat, it would be this one:

Not only did Rinne make 30 saves in Game 2 to earn his second straight shutout, but he contributed offensively with two assists.

Furthermore, if Chicago were to win 1-0 or score one goal in a loss, Rinne would still have more points than anyone on their team through three games.

How ridiculous is that?

It won't be easy for the Hawks to rebound on the road, and as far as history goes, the last time Chicago and Nashville squared off in the playoffs, the Hawks went 1-2 in Nashville and were outscored 14-8.
