The Ontario Reign took over as the Los Angeles Kings’ AHL affiliate last season and so far the franchise has seen pretty much nothing but success during the early stages. They finished 1st in their division last season, as they posted a 44-19-4-1 record good enough for 93 points, but ended up getting swept in the Conference Finals.

Heading into Friday night’s game against the Tucson Roadrunners, the Reign find themselves in a tie for second place and just two points out of 1st place in the Pacific Division. Friday night’s game is a pretty big one, as all of the games are big ones at this point in the season, but it also happens to be LA Kings Night at the arena.

The epic comes to @cbbankarena for @lakings Night at 7PM.

The Reign decided to honour their NHL franchise by going with the jerseys that were introduced during the 1995-96 season, which features a King face on the chest.

It's all in the details.

Aside from the sweet jerseys the team will be wearing for their game against the Roadrunners, the first 5,000 fans received their very own figurine of the team mascot, Kingston.

First 5,000 fans tonight!

The jerseys didn’t end up being as popular as the team expected them to be, as they only wore them during the 1995-96 season and are pretty much considered a rare collector’s item at this point.
