Washington Capitals fans are having Déjà vu in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In the last eight seasons, the Capitals have made it to the second round of the playoffs four times and have lost every single time. In the other seasons they either lost first round or didn’t make the playoffs. Two of their four second round exits were against the Pittsburgh Penguins and it’s starting to look like history might repeat itself this season.

The Capitals had home-ice advantage coming into the series, but ended up losing both home games to start the series. So, one Penguins fan decided to create a new banner design to put in the Capitals’ rafters.

Some of the numbers they have on the banner are incorrect, but you get the point. You can see in the clip below, they also printed the banner out and brought it to a Pens’ fan rally in D.C.

Poor, poor capitals fans. Always a brides maid and never a bride.

No matter what he does, people always find a way to blame Ovi... 😂🤔 . #ThumbLeague
