The results in pre-season hockey may not count for anything, but the rivalries definitely still do.

Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins hosted the Buffalo Sabres on the Penn State campus in University Park, Pennsylvania for a pre-season game. The Pens were gracious hosts on the evening, but showed that their was a limit to their kindness. During their Snapchat story on the night, the Penguins stopped to take a picture of a Sabres fan and a Flyers fan. Guess which one received a friendly reception?

We always asks ourselves this question...why do some fans insist on wearing the jerseys of teams that aren't playing in that game? Surely it must be some form of slight trolling, as they must know that rival fans will react poorly to seeing them. Sorry, rival fans and rival social media managers.

If the fan really wanted to rile up Penguins fans, he should have just asked them about Phil Kessel's new hairstyle.
