The Pittsburgh Penguins versus Washington Capitals second round series starts Thursday night, and the hockey world is talking Sidney Crosby's matchup against Alex Ovechkin. And those who aren't debating Crosby and Ovi, well... it appears they're making Pens versus Caps jokes.
That's right... the writing instrument, and the thing that goes on top of the pen for protective purposes, are getting all the air time.
We're not going to blame the NHL on NBC for this, but it appears they gave the joke a larger platform.
It's safe to say hockey fans are not pleased with the jokes occurring...
