TSN’s Darren Dreger is a must follow for any hockey fan, but not just for his insider knowledge. He’s also extremely experience in building and maintaining outdoor rinks (ODRs) in the winter.

Every year, around this time, people start sharing images of their rinks and Dreger offers advice to anyone who needs it, like this little starters guide he sent out this morning.

Well in addition to offering advice, his Twitter feed also turns into something like the ultimate ODR inspiration board, as he retweets some of the best rinks from around the world. Winter doesn’t technically start for another three days, but plenty of Canadians and people from around the world already have extremely elaborate ODRs up and running.

Here are some of the best so far:

Of course, if you didn’t see it last week, perhaps the greatest ODR view ever came from the rink made on the Eiffel Tower.

Hockey on the Eiffel Tower, anyone? 🏒🇫🇷 #hockeycollective #latoureiffel
