Thursday at his introductory press conference in Minnesota, Jimmy Butler gave out his actual phone number so anyone who had anything to say to him, positive or negative, could leave him a message.

In fact, Butler actually was FaceTiming with fans.

As awesome as it was of Butler to give out his phone number, not everyone is a fan of it.

Evanston, IL's Michael Byrne has a very similar number to that of the one Butler gave out (one digit off) and, as per NBC 5 in Chicago, he's been getting a ton of texts and calls from people who think they're calling and texting Butler:

“At first I heard my phone going off a bunch. When I checked it, I already had 37 missed calls,” he says. “I got calls from Arkansas, Florida, New York City, and all over the country. I got voice mails and text messages all saying how much they supported me.”

In all, Byrne says he has received at least 100 voicemails and over 150 text messages since Butler shared his phone number with fans.

“That’s the strange part. They’re calling the wrong number,” he says. “None of the calls or messages have been mean or harassing, but I can’t even use my phone.”

Apparently Byrne isn't even a sports fan and has no idea who Jimmy Butler is.

Michael even tried contacting the Timberwolves about the constant texts and calls, but unfortunately for him, they couldn't help him out:

Byrne says that he contacted the Timberwolves about the situation, but was told by an operator in the team’s offices that there unfortunately wasn’t much that the team could do to help stem the flow of phone calls.
