Nazem Kadri and Alexander Ovechkin had a heated end to the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Washington Capitals playoff series, and it was captured in great detail.

Of course, all of the commotion started up when in Game 5, Kadri bent over to hip check Ovi and ended up taking him out by one of his thighs. It was a scary moment as Ovechkin laid on the ice and Caps fans held their breath, but it all turned out okay when he returned and later had a funny quote about what he was doing while off the bench.

Still the rough stuff continued in the next (and final) game, as at one point in the game, Kadri somehow eneded up on Ovi’s back and Ovechkin just straightened out and flipped him over.

The pictures of it are incredibly bizarre to see in a hockey game. Photographer Mark Blinch got some amazing shots of the event.

Several other photos of the scene were takin as well, but that one takes the cake. It is very odd to see a hockey player fully mounted on another’s back.

Ovechkin will need to get something else off his back in Round 2 as well, as he and the Capitals face the Pittsburgh Penguins once again. They haven’t fared well against them recently, but Ovi will try to help buck that trend. Okay, we’re done.
