Watching a game live is always enjoyable because the atmosphere is so much better than watching at game at home on television.

Not every seat in an arena or stadium, though, provides fans with an excellent view of the action on the court, field, diamond, ice, and that's why a jumbotron is such an important thing to have in a stadium or arena.

As many hockey fans know, the Detroit Red Wings will be playing in a new arena next year, and Monday the team showed off their incredible and record-breaking jumbotron.

The new jumbotron is the world's largest, seamless centerhung system in the world and it's over 5,100 square feet.

For comparisons sake, Jerry Jones' jumbotron in Dallas is 11,520 square feet.

It's safe to say the Red Wings are going all out to make the in-game experience a wonderful one for fans from a technological perspective.

A playoff berth during the first year in the new arena would also make fans happy next year, too.
