Over the past year, we've seen a few NHL referees show off their personality in their penalty calls and go viral for it.

As good as this moment from the Caps and Habs game earlier this season was, the one that stands out above the rest came from Wes McCauley during a Montreal and Boston game last season.

We're not saying it can't be topped, but it's going to take something very unique and awesome to do so.  Fortunately for hockey fans, we got a new challenger Tuesday night during the Oilers and Hurricanes game.  Late in the third period, the Hurricanes took a

'Too Many Men' on the ice penalty, but the referee announced the penalty with some different wording.

"Too many gentleman on the ice."  This should officially be the wording of the call in the NHL rule book.

Was it better than McCauley's penalty announcement, though?  We'll leave that up to you to decide.
