Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series was a TV show inspired by the Mighty Ducks films and the NHL team and ran for one season that consisted of 26 episodes from September 6, 1996, to January 17, 1997.

The show featured seven main characters including Wildwing Flashblade, the Anaheim Ducks’ mascot, and plenty of other secondary characters.

Although the series only aired for one season, it was a big hit among young hockey fans and there was plenty of merchandise that was released over that one year span, including its very own toy set at McDonald’s which featured Wildwing, Nosedive, Mallory and Duke L’Orange on top of rolling pucks.

Like most popular cartoon shows, the series got its very own line of action figures, which included all sorts of characters and vehicles from the show.

The series even released a movie in April of 1997 called Mighty Ducks the Movie: The First Face-Off, which was pretty much the first three episodes of the TV series compiled into one long episode.

It’s too bad the series didn’t last longer than one season, but we’re just glad it existed.
