For those fans out there that think the owner of their team doesn't care about wins and losses, that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Aside from the obvious financial compensation from the success of the team, owners essentially are fans.  Sure, they may have some say in moves and personnel decisions, but the joy they get from watching their team win or the heartbreak they feel watching their team lose is very real.

Steve Ballmer might be the most recognizable owner in sports because of his passion for the Clippers and how he wears his heart on his sleeve like most passionate fans.

After what happened Tuesday night in Houston, Rockets owner Leslie Alexander might be there right with him.

Towards the end of the first quarter of Game 5 between the Rockets and Thunder, Alexander got up from his court-side seat and confronted referee Bill Kennedy during play:

We don't think we've ever seen an owner do something like that before.  When it was all said and done, we imagine Alexander was happy as the Rockets closed out the series with a win.

Wednesday, however, Alexander was held accountable for his actions during the game as the NBA announced he was fined $100,000 or, in other words, pocket change.

Considering Alexander's net worth, according to Forbes, is $1.9 billion, it's probably fair to assume he won't be sweating the fine, especially since the Rockets are moving on.

Houston will face the winner of the San Antonio and Memphis series in the second round.
