Sometimes you just need to see a video of a dog trying to swim through the air in a life jacket.

There’s a lot of negativity that swirls around in the world and sometimes you just need to see a hilarious video. Ryan Johansen was the provider of that video today, as he was enjoying his offseason alongside his dog Doug. Spending some time in the water, he strapped his buddy up in a lifejacket and brought him out to do some doggie paddling.

We’re not sure why dogs do that anytime they’re above water, but it just makes us ask the question we see every day on the internet “What did we do to deserve dogs?”.

Doug has been having a blast this offseason as he joined #TeamSummer with Johansen.

Doug has to be one of the best dogs in the NHL, but there are plenty of contenders. While they may not be on social media as often, they’ll usually come out of the woodworks for National Puppy Day.
