At one point, every superstar athlete was that kid in the crowd asking their favourite player for an autograph, a piece of equipment or a picture.
Professional athletes we look up to now all had players they looked up to when they were kids, and that's why it's always cool to see an athlete take time to put a smile on a kid's face with a picture or autograph.
Tuesday night in Minnesota, we witnessed one of those moments as a young Wild fan asked Canucks players for a stick and Sam Gagner delivered which put the fan of the opposite team over the moon.
This young fan's reaction was priceless and he'll always remember the day he got a stick from an NHL player. Maybe someday if he ends up in the NHL, he'll return the favour and make another child's dream come true.
