The Washington Nationals are off to an incredible start due in large part to an incredible offence and a rotation led by Max Scherzer.

The two-time Cy Young winner has picked up right where he left off last season, and he faced his toughest test of the season Tuesday night against the AL East leading Orioles.

Scherzer was dominant all night long, but in the eighth inning with two away, manager Dusty Baker came out to the mound to pull him.

Max, though, had other ideas and talked his way out of getting pulled with some NSFW language.  He then proceeded to get Manny Machado out to end the inning.

Scherzer called his shot and rewarded his manager.  Unfortunately it was all for not as the Orioles tied the game in the ninth and won it in extras.

Still, Max was amazing and that's all that matters going forward.  It was the second straight game he recorded 11 strikeouts and allowed two or fewer runs.
