The 2017 NHL Winter Classic between the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks at Busch Stadium is still a little over two weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped players from thinking ahead to the game. Blackhawks goalie Scott Darling was promoted to the team’s starter earlier this month after Corey Crawford underwent an appendectomy. Considering Darling might now be starting the Winter Classic on January 2nd, he went out and got a pretty awesome mask created for the big day.

Darling’s Winter Classic mask is an awesome tribute to the World Series champion Chicago Cubs. The right side of the mask features Harry Caray, the Wrigley Field sign with “World Series Champions!” written on it, and a whole lot of Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo. There’s no word yet as to what’s on the other side of his mask, but we’re guessing it’s a lot more Chicago Cubs-related content.

This isn’t the first time Darling has paid tribute to a Chicago sports franchise. Here’s his tribute to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls from last season.

That’s not the only other time he paid tribute to Chicago. We can’t forget his classic Wayne’s World-themed mask.

Game on! Thanks @davidofdaveart and @bauergoalie for another great mask #WaynesWorld

Darling definitely has one of the nicest collection of masks in the entire NHL.
