In any sport, athletes have one goal in mind when they step out onto the field, ice or any other playing surface, win at all costs.

Obviously there's a lot more to sports than just winning, but when you train as long and as hard as they men and women, winning is everything.

That doesn't mean, though, that one can't and shouldn't show sportsmanship before, during and after a game or competition.  Being sportsmanlike in victory is just as important as winning in our opinion.

In the ultra competitive world of college football, showing sportsmanship after a win doesn't always happen.

On Saturday, South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley reminded the sports world that while it's great to win, it's even better to be sportsmanlike in victory.

That right there is why we love sports. Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano had a few chances to win the game late in his first career start but couldn't get it done and clearly he was heartbroken.

Bentley consoled him, though, and it just warms our hearts watching that video.
