The Golden State Warriors are a super-charged team right now. The reigning NBA champs are once again favourites to win it all, but first they have to settle their season down.

Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, two of the best basketball players in the world, got ejected from Saturday’s matchup against the Grizzlies within seconds of each other. Curry thought that he had been fouled on his way to a lay-up, but when he didn’t get the call he proceeded to whip his mouth guard at the official.

Moments later, Durant was caught by cameras flipping off either the officials or the crowd and was promptly thrown out as well. Realistically the game was out of reach for the Warriors, rendering the ejections themselves as arbitrary to the result, but it does reflect some boiling over of frustrations from the Bay Area basketball team.

Curry will probably at least face a fine for his actions, and will also certainly be the subject of “sore loser” accusations in days to come.

While the Warriors are now 1-2 on the season, it is no reason for concern. They are still favourites to win it all. Besides, the Cavs lost tonight too.
