The Warriors and the Cavs might have the best rivalry in all of sports at the moment, and the fact that they openly take shots at each other makes it even better.
That was evident again this weekend at Kent Bazemore’s wedding, where Richard Jefferson, Andre Igoudala and Steph Curry were all in attendance. Of course, they’re on opposite sides of this rivalry, and with the Warriors having the latest win in the series, Curry and Igoudala were letting Jefferson hear it.
Jefferson takes a shot at Curry’s hair, but that’s just about all that he gets in. He also totally throws his teammates under the bus when he starts saying he’s 1-1 against them. Just separating himself from the first Cavaliers loss isn’t going to get him a win in this chirp-fest.
It was a good effort and there’s not a lot else he can say, but he kind of just has to take the L for now.
The Cavs were happy to talk trash last offseason, so they’ll just have to wait until next year if they want their shot at having some more chirps to throw the Warriors way. Still, the Cavs haven’t done much this offseason, so unless the Warriors get thinned out from insanely stacked Western Conference.
