One of the reasons why Stephen Curry is such a fan-favourite in the eyes of so many is that fans can easily relate to him.

He's not the biggest or strongest player.  He doesn't block shots or dunk regularly, but he shoots threes and makes wonderful passes look so easy.
Both of those skills are things kids at any age can do, and that's why it's so easy to relate to Curry.

Tuesday night, Steph returned to his high school, Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina as they retired his jersey.  Fans that watched the ceremony or saw pictures of it on social media may have noticed that the school retired his No. 20 jersey.

As everyone knows, Curry wears No. 30 in the NBA, and he wore it Davidson, but he didn't wear it in high school, and there's a really funny reason why that is, as Steph explained:

Being small and playing any sport is tough, but it's even tougher when you don't get to wear the number you want to wear because you're too small to wear it.

Still, as Curry has proven time and time again, size doesn't matter, and if you work hard enough, you'll eventually get everything you work for, like Curry got his No. 30 in college.
