PK Subban is a major talking point in the NHL playoffs at the moment, as his Predators have advanced to the Western Conference Final for the first time in team history.
Obviously Subban has been a hot topic for much of the season, after being traded from the Canadiens in the offseason. For whatever reason, some people have tried to put a negative spin on his personality, but he just continues to be himself. For example, yesterday, after the teams’ series-clinching win, Subban joined the media in asking Roman Josi some questions – or, according to Josi, one question.
Honestly, with some of the questions thrown around in these scrums, all he had to do was add a “Can you talk about that?” to the end of his statement and he would have fit right in.
The Preds are likely to become a rooting favourite for many NHL fans, as the eighth seed team with loads of personality. With antics like these, they'll only attract more fans to their team and to the game of hockey as a whole.
They’ve even got plenty of support from other athletes across North America.
