The Nashville Predators advanced to the Western Conference Final for the first time in franchise history on Sunday, defeating the Blues 3-1 in Game 6.
During the celebration in Tennessee, one television station got a little ahead of themselves, mistakenly announcing that the Preds had advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals. When it comes to live TV, mistakes happen, that's just how it works. But nervous, superstitious Predators fans were quite displeased with the error, hoping that their squad hadn't just been jinxed by the premature announcement.
It's all cool Preds fans, jinxes only work if you really believe in them. Not to mention, the Preds have looked incredibly good thus far in the playoffs, so perhaps fans should trust that it's going to take more than an incorrect graphic to throw them off their game.
