Now was that a wild NHL Draft Lottery or what?

In an unlikely twist of fate, the New Jersey Devils won the Draft Lottery on Saturday night, sliding up from the fifth spot to land the first overall selection for the first time since 1979, when they were known as the Colorado Rockies (ironic, no?). Upon the conclusion of the Draft Lottery a strange, coincidental stat began to circulate the internet. With the Devils winning the first overall selection, teams with Taylor Hall on their roster have now won the lottery four times.
 

It didn't take long for Taylor Hall to take notice of the stat, and within a few minutes, the Devils forward issued a humorous response on Twitter.

Entering the lottery, the Devils had an 8.5% chance of nabbing the first overall selection, compared to the Avalanche who had an 18% chance. If only the Avalanche had traded for Hall...
