It's Throwback Thursday, and we've already gone back in time once today to when Paul Kariya was a sharpshooter off the ice during his NHL career.

Now it's time to go even father back to a time when SCTV (Second City TV) was the thing to watch.

The Canadian television sketch comedy show was on in the 1970s and 1980s, and it featured some big names like John Candy, Joe Flaherty and Andrea Martin.

SCTV had a 'Movie of the Week segment, and the one we're going to focus on is all about hockey.  Enjoy!

A couple of awesome things we just have to point out, Power Play was a parody of the real movie Face-Off, which starred actually NHL players (Sittler and Paul Henderson to name a couple).

Also, Billy's character was supposed to be Sittler, as per the SCTV episode guide.

Furthermore, Candy played Sittler on another hilarious occasion that you just have to see to believe.

Candy is imitating Sittler in this famous commercial that we're sure you've probably seen before:

We hope you've learned something from this TBT post and got a couple laughs out of it at the very least.
