On Wednesday afternoon, the Hockey Hall of Fame's Instagram account posted an image from their archives of something we don't think we've ever seen before. It was a photo of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky from his days with the Edmonton Oilers, and The Great One was in the net, wearing Grant Fuhr's glove and blocker.

We know goalie equipment was smaller in the 1980s, but this small!?
In the social media day in age, there 100% would be iPhone video capturing Gretzky grabbing the equipment, trying it on and getting in position to face some shots. In fact, it would probably have gone viral. Who knows, maybe The Great One even faced a shot or two before or after this picture was taken? Unfortunately, it's doubtful we'll ever know.
