The top talking points from this NHL this season so far in no particular order are the incredible crop of rookies in the league, McDavid versus Crosby, Brent Burns' historic season, and streaks.

While all of those storylines are intriguing, we're going to take some time to talk about streaks seeing as Calgary just won their 10th straight game Monday night.

The 10th victory in a row tied a Flames' franchise record for most consecutive wins as the Atlanta Flames won 10 in a row in 1978.

Calgary also helped make NHL history with the win as they became the fourth team this season with a double-digit win streak, joining Columbus, Philadelphia and Minnesota.

The Blue Jackets lead the pack as they won 16 straight games earlier this season.

The Wild went on a 12-game win streak of their own while Philadelphia won 10 in a row earlier in the year, too.

Oddly enough, Philadelphia's the only team in this group of teams that isn't in a playoff spot as they sit six points back of the final wild card spot in the East.

Calgary, on the other hand, has a chance to make it 11 in a row Wednesday against the Bruins and close the gap on the first place Sharks in the Pacific.
