It seems as if no matter where you look, you see Pennywise from the horror film "IT" standing somewhere creepily holding a red balloon. Including at Washington Capitals games.

Friday, during a break in play at the Capitals-Blues preseason game Washington's mascot, Slapshot, was spotted by the glass, donning a wig and doing his best Pennywise impersonation. It was both creepy and amazing.

Everyone seemed to enjoy Slapshot's little charade, including fans in attendance. Although, they were clearly a little freaked out by his wig and balloon at the same time.

But out of all the responses to Slapshot's Pennywise routine, we think this one poking fun at the Capitals inability to get over the second round hump is quite clearly the best.

What's more frightning to Capitals fans...Slapshot dressed as a clown, or a second round match-up versus the Pittsburgh Penguins?
