“Punters are people too” was one of the funniest movements the NFL has ever seen. After the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted punter Bryan Anger in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the phrase was coined by Rich Eisen of the NFL Network. Those four words got people talking, and the next thing we knew they were printed on t-shirts and being worn by players all across the league.

Fast-forward to 2017 and Cincinnati Bengals’ punter Kevin Huber’s may have pulled off the coolest move we have ever seen a punter execute.

As a punt was seconds away from being blocked, Huber’s pulled the ball back and snuck it behind his back as the defender went flying behind him. It was basically an NFL punter pulling a Houdini magic trick on a defender, and we loved it.

The play proves once and for all that punters are people too, just as Eisen said in 2012. We’re still waiting for a punter to make the highlight of the night, but until then, this play rules all.
